Who we are

Doors MCR (doorsmcr.com) is a listings site for gigs, club nights and shows in Manchester. For anything about your data, email info@doorsmcr.com.

Browsing the site

We use Umami to count visits and see which pages and ticket links are used. It doesn't use cookies, doesn't track you across other sites and doesn't store your IP address. We only see totals, like how many people viewed a page.

Doors MCR doesn't set cookies when you browse. Event images are loaded from the ticket sellers' own servers, so those sellers can see a request from your browser, as with any image on the web. Our host, Netlify, keeps short-term server logs, including IP addresses, for security and to keep the site running.

Buying tickets

Tickets are sold by the sellers we link to, like Skiddle and Ticketmaster, not by us. When you follow a ticket link you leave Doors MCR, and that seller's privacy policy applies. Some links tell the seller you came from Doors MCR so they can pay us a commission. The seller may use cookies on their site to do this. We never see your payment or order details.

Adding an event

If you use the add an event form, we store:

• the event details you give us, which we may publish;
• your email address, which is never published.

We only use your email to contact you about that listing, including featuring it if you ask us to. We never sell it or add it to a mailing list. Submissions are stored securely with our database provider, Supabase. We delete contact details once they're no longer needed, or sooner if you ask.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask to see, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you, or object to how we use it. Email info@doorsmcr.com and we'll reply within a month. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.

Changes

If we change how we use your data, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
